It could, according to the game’s creative director, although this decision is up to Konami. For the time being however, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. This is mainly due to cost of testing for the multitude of PC configs that needs to be done. “We develop on PC for Unreal SDK, so a PC version is relatively easy. But It’s about the cost of testing for the multitude of PC configs, and distribution of a PC box retail version.So basically, it’s a cost benefit decision that comes down to the publisher. Yes, it was finally announced – in June 2010 – the new Silent Hill game for the main new generation systems. And damn, the trailer kick ass (kinda reminded me Alan Wake graphics, but better). According to series producers Devin Shatsky and Brian Gomez, the game will come out in 2011. ___________________________________________________________ Gamers will play as ex-inmate Murphy Pendleton, a man who suffers from lucid visions when he sleeps. And that’s why I love Silent Hill series: since the begining of all games…we never know if we are experiencing something real, or something delusional. ____________________________________________________________ I just really hope that in this game, producers allow us to explore a bigger environment. And that actually only happened in Silent Hill 1. Silent Hill 2 we also have this kinda exploration, but much less.
